Trend Report Summer 16
My morning routine consists of stalking catching up on my favourite fashion bloggers and celebrity style icons. I justify this obsession pass time with the fact that as a woman working in the fashion industry I need to stay up to date with pop culture and current trends. 1. The oversized trend is back, thank god! Yes, I know, not everyone loves this trend, but everyone SHOULD love this trend. If you have not been blessed with the body of Kendall Jenner, like most normal people, the oversized trend is a great way to elongate and conceal any areas you feel insecure about. 2. The flowey silky trend is a lifesaver because it gets hot in the summer and global warming will probably continue to raise temperatures until we all melt away. To save getting sweat stains everywhere and to maintain that airy comfort you feel when you’re literally not wearing anything at all, why not just invest in a light weight breezy blouse? 3. Stripes are this season’s hottest pattern. Not only do they add interest to your outfit without looking cheesy, but they also give off major Audrey Hepburn/chic French girl vibes. Anyone can wear this trend, plus, if you find the right pattern, stripes can add a very figure flattering illusion. You can even get super into this trend and wear grid pattern stripes, criss cross stripes, or really any type of stripes, just stripe it up, oui oui.
